Whereas:
Congress has already enacted an "emergency" bill costing $2,100,000,000,000 that pays five of every six recipients more to stay unemployed than to go back to work; and
Whereas:
Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden have proposed a bill extending this unemployment subsidy for another six months at an additional cost of $3,000,000,000,000; and
Whereas:
Even though job openings have been rapidly rising, employers haven't been able to find people willing to work, stifling economic recovery; and
Whereas:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has repeatedly said she won’t budge from her $3 trillion unemployment subsidy while White House Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin is open to "compromise;" and
Whereas:
Pelosi's spending scheme would kill 10 million new jobs and boost government spending to more than the total of the entire gross domestic product of the private sector for the first time in the history of the United States;
Therefore:
I urge you to stop any proposal that would pay workers MORE in government benefits than what they earned while working.
